The meticulous design of Zumma unfolds as a harmonious dance of elements, weaving together a narrative that resonates with both aesthetic finesse and functional brilliance.

A defining feature gracing Zumma is the curved plywood pattern, artfully shaped like waves or fish. This versatile motif serves as a balustrade, a see-through screen, a decorative accent for the bar counter, and a wall finish. Complementing this intricate design are Eames chairs, crafted from bent plywood, adding a touch of classic sophistication to the seaside ambiance. The ceiling geometry finds resolution through bent plywood circles, reminiscent of scaled sieve baskets intricately woven in bamboo—an ingenious design element unifying the space.

Immersing patrons in a fresh and cool sensation during the scorching summers, Zumma's material palette is carefully curated. Off-white terrazzo, adorned with patches of color, extends seamlessly from the floor to the walls. Pillars, draped in light-colored sandstone—a characteristic material of the Dobruja region—stand as a testament to thoughtful regional integration.

A canopy of rattan conceals ducts and vents, bestowing a sensation of transparency and breathability, enhancing the seaside experience. Custom-designed lamps and copper details, coupled with round windows on kitchen doors inspired by maritime aesthetics, align seamlessly with Zumma's fish-centric menu and beachfront locale.

Central to Zumma's spatial design are the bar and the staircase, positioned strategically to create a dynamic interplay of elements. Serving as the access points and focal points, these dynamic features overlap into an expansive void between levels, generating an energetic and visually captivating focal point. Most tables enjoy a direct view of these central elements, ensuring that every patron becomes part of the restaurant's vibrant narrative.
