MOONY cafe is a space where every detail tells a story, weaving together a tapestry of cultural references from the birthplaces of coffee. Despite the myriad influences, the café exudes a clean, almost minimalist aura, achieved through a deliberately limited palette of textures – plywood, porcelain, and black paint.
The richness of details is a universe by itself, a place where ethnic patterns from Africa, Asia, and South America intertwine with Arabic motifs meticulously cut from plywood. This fusion is complemented by specially designed lamps and insets inspired by the elegant shape of Austrian coffee cups and chinaware, alongside the iconic Viennese café Thonet chairs.
The choice of plywood as the primary material was a strategic decision driven by the desire to create a fresh and inviting ambiance. MOONY caters primarily to a youthful audience seeking respite from the corporate offices located above, as the café occupies the ground floor of an office building complex.
Every element in MOONY cafe is carefully considered, down to the bespoke pendants created exclusively for this project. The café's signature chairs, named "DCP" and "YO," are original designs by CCS, proudly crafted in Transylvania. The floor is adorned with a rare touch – pale green natural linoleum, a unique finishing rarely employed in hospitality projects but impeccably suited for the café's atmosphere.
MOONY cafe is more than a coffee destination; it's a curated experience where every detail contributes to the immersive narrative of a global coffee journey.
