Atelier Mecanic, a bar constructed from old industrial relics, incorporates salvaged leftovers, graphics, and original furniture. This concept reflects on the period of industrialization in the country during communism. Romanians often grapple with their uneasy relationship with the past, frequently opting to erase it entirely. Factories, once symbols of communism, were swiftly discarded after the Revolution, erasing 50 years of industrial history. Here, we bring a part of history intro present times.
